Happy Valentine’s Day!!! {Montreal Photographer}

February 15, 2010 · Children

I hope you had a good one. We had some ups and downs…such is family life. But it ended with gold! We were so excited to see Alexandre Bilodeau capture the gold for the moguls. I even pulled my kids out of bed to watch. And my throat is still sore from screaming. :)

I absolutely love designing cards, and here are two images I used in my kids’ cards this year.
I rock for you valentine

I have been busy working on some commercial photography work. Some of which I cannot post, but I hope to post some of the images. I’d love to share with you. :)

Spa Party Invite {Montreal Child Photographer}

November 27, 2009 · Children, Design

My daughter was born in December. As was my mother. And my husband was born at the end of November.

As you can imagine, this is such a busy time of year for us. But I’ve streamlined…no fancy parties for my husband. He’s old enough that he wont cry if Thomas the Tank Engine doesn’t make an appearance. (Although I did make the yummiest peanut butter cups with gold glitter for his party this year!)

But for my daughter…we have a blast planning. And she plans ahead. Starting late Spring/early Summer, she mentioned her plan for a Spa Party. Not sure where she got the idea, but I decided to go for it. There are a few party entertainers around Montreal that provide spa party services, but I decided to go for it myself (with her input).

But the best part…is the invite. I used my favourite room in my home for shooting…my all white bathroom…and stuck her in there. (All white makes for a wonderful reflection & soft light-great for photographs!). And I stuck squished up avocado on her face. She was in a bit of shock, but got into it.

Here are the photos that made it into the card (well, technically the card itself, but I cropped out all the deets.)

Growing Up {Montreal Child Photographer}

October 1, 2009 · Children

8 going on 18.

Children grow so quickly, and I think girls in particular want to grow up faster (well, until they reach a certain age :) ).  I love this pensive look and, although you can’t tell, a few minutes later she had on a baseball cap backwards jiving to her own hip-hop beat. I did take pictures of her being silly, but this picture speaks to me. I can see both the girl she is, as well as the teenager she wants to be (because of course she doesn’t want to be an adult yet with all the responsibilities. She already knows teenagers have it easy :) ).
